cd- We pray while the kids play. Nothing more beautiful than letting your kids see the example of friends praying together. If they are real little, then you can have them sit on your lap or give them something to do for a bit-my friends don't mind if the kids get loud, etc. We do what we can! Or you can pray on the phone together during nap time..whatever works!

Some great things to ponder. This is something that's been weighing heavy on my heart. My husband and I have been trying to pay off our debt for the last five years and have at least five more years to go before it's all paid off. Sometimes the guilt and frustration of our past poor decisions weighs us down. But this post is a good reminder that Jesus has freed us and we will throw off any guilt or feelings of condemnation and persevere with God's grace and strength toward a debt-free, God-glorifying way of living.

This post is such a blessing! I continually battle the fear of being ill. In my mind, I have had breast cancer, a brain tumor, skin cancer, (basically any kind of cancer imaginable), heart problems, and so on. Guess how many illnesses I've actually had...zero. Just writing all those things down makes me laugh at how ridiculous I am. However, the fear has crippled me and the anxiety actually causes physical issues. What I know is that this fear I cling to is a sin and a lack of trust in God. Ultimately, I am saying that my health is my greatest treasure. I pray continually throughout the day that the Holy Spirit grows in me and that God is my greatest love. Even when my body does decay, I want to say that I can still have joy in my salvation....a gift way more valuable than this body made of dust. My hearts desire is to grow in Christ and shed this fear of illness. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. The timing was just perfect for me!

This is a lesson I have to continually learn again, so thanks for the reminder. When I was 27, and the mother of 2 young boys, I did have a Level 2 melanoma, and that was in the days before the internet so we had to do all our research in the bowels of the library. I struggled with the thought of my sons being left without a mother, but the Lord was ever so merciful, and now I am 46 with two more children (and my same wonderful husband!). Through that hard experience I have learned to appreciate each day and each little grace as a gift from the Father. Our times are in HIS hands! May we live each day for His glory! ~Twila

I can completely relate to this post last year I found a lump under my arm and shrugged it off for some time-being a 29 year old mom I was invinsible. Right? Well in October I finally went to have it checked out and while waiting for the results I was reminded just how fragile is and that, like you said, it completely changes what is important. See I lost my mom when I was an infant and always knew how blessed I was to wake up every morning but I had been so consumed in the everyday that feeling had taken a backseat and he needed to remind me. Now 9 months after finding out that the tests were fine we are expecting our third child and I am able to again be greatful for the little things in life. I am so happy your tests can back fine as well.

Terrific thoughts to remember! I encountered just this yesterday - my littlest who is turning three soon, pulled on my arm so I'd play a matching game with him on the floor. One part of me almost told him to wait so I could put a load of clothes in the wash first. The godly part of me won - I got up right then and sat with him on the rug and played :)
