My husband lost his job. And I am praising God. Yup, you heard me. Praise. I will not succumb to fear, I will not lose my faith, I will praise Him in every storm, no matter how hard the wind blows.
I have seen God's sovereign hand in my life, and looking back-every single turn, has had a purpose. This is no different. I know God is leading us to something else, and I will not take my eyes off of Him.
In fact, I am rejoicing at what He has for us on the horizon. He always knows best, and I will not doubt.
Is it scary? Yes. Will I be consumed with fear? No.
So today I am being faced with another situation where the rubber meets the road. My faith will not be shaken. I will trust in His plan for my life above all.
Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;
I will surely defend my ways to his face.
Job 13:15

He sure will provide. I've been lurking and not commenting but I saw this as I had a cup of tea while the kids colored their maps of Israel and I had to write. We've been through the unemployment trial and lived to tell about it. I sure didn't feel like I was strong, but those around me kept telling me that my faith was an encouragement to them. Now that we're on the other side...I hope that I can encourage you. http://dayinthelifeof531.blogspot.com/search/label/Encouragement Look at the Given and Given2 posts. I pray that your journey isn't as long as ours was. I pray that you will remember the very real ways that God provides for your family in this transitions. Keep a list...it is such a blessing on the days when you're feeling the heaviness...and our list has been a blessing to so many others. May this just be another opportunity for your family to grow together and to grow more Christlike. Thanks for all the encouragement and blessings you've given to me in your writing. km
I will be praying for you and your family, Karen. Sharing your heart with us moms has truly blessed me, and I know the Lord will provide. You have given you life to share about His amazing grace, and He will not let you fall. KM, thanks also for sharing your blog posts; they blessed me as well. We have also seen the side of unemployment, but God never let us go without and to be quite honest, it was the greatest work of faith I've ever experienced. Praying for you all, God bless!
